Manuscript Development
Your work is ready for an audience, and you need a trusted partner to get you across the finish line. Through manuscript development, I provide an in-depth read of your project for developmental and revision opportunities and work with you to ensure everything you’ve already worked so hard on exceeds your own expectations. This type of review is best suited for those writing academic theses, poetry, nonfiction, memoir, fiction, or hybrid collections.
Developmental Edits Includes
- Manuscript evaluation on theme, plot, tone/voice, and quality of prose
- Insight on ordering, titling, and sectioning tailored to your wishes for the book
- 3-4 page written analysis or audio recording detailing the analysis
- Brief suggestions on book positioning for promotion and publication venues
- Up to 3 pages of careful and thoughtful line edits
Advanced Edit Option
For writers looking for an even deeper level of manuscript evaluation and developmental support, an Advanced Manuscript Edit includes all of the above plus supportive formatting, copyediting/line editing, and in-margin comments to address inconsistencies and challenge the point of view to enhance the argument and plot.
For those in the early to mid-stages of their writing, or who are looking for additional content and support, please review the Writing Coaching Services, Content Creation & Copyediting, or Professional Pursuits pages.

I sincerely appreciated Sheila’s time and insights which were even more thorough than I had anticipated.

Manuscript Mentorship Client
Sheila McMullin, my editor/writing coach, has helped me to bring my far-flung poem babies home and organize them into a real book worthy of presenting to publishers, patiently teaching me the technology along the way.
