AWP 2013 Feminist Panels Guide!
AWP is an amazing opportunity to overload on all things literature and spoken performance. We are in a ripe environment to make new connections, deepen our levels of understanding, and learn from our favorite authors. AWP is a T-Rexcellent time to get super smart in a short time span, with like minded folks! Below I have collected a sampling of panels directly discussing feminist and women’s issues, or feminism is implicit in the argument as in the case of In Sickness and In Health — how our society practices the medical gaze is similar to the male, patriarchal gaze directing the agency of individual bodies.
