Launch Party of After the Tour by Jenny Minniti-Shippey
Join us at Verbatim Books in San Diego to celebrate the launch of After the Tour, Jenny Minniti-Shippey’s new poetry collection!
Called “an astonishing collection that gives us both the clear view of terrifying world we have made and the beautiful, lyrical song of love that guides us out of this misfortune” by Ilya Kaminsky, After the Tour offers a lyric journey through the contemporary American landscape. Jenny Minniti-Shippey is a professor at San Diego State University, the managing editor of Poetry International literary journal, and the author of Done Dating DJs and Earth’s Horses & Boys.
Minniti-Shippey will be joined by two special guests: Karla Cordero, CantoMundo fellow, editor of Spit Journal, and author of How to Pull Apart the Earth; and Sheila McMullin, co-editor of The Day Tajon Got Shot and Humans of Ballou, and author of daughterrarium, which won the 2017 Cleveland State University First Book Prize.
