My Story of Finding Mom’s Book in the LOC
I currently intern at the Library of Congress in the Poetry and Literature Center. It is a wonderful place to be, with a magnificent view of the Capitol and lovely people in the office to share funny stories and talk literature. Pretty soon, our U.S. Poet Laureate, Natasha Trethewey, will be working in the Poetry Room right next to my office space! I am very much looking forward to what I will learn from her and my continued service at the P&L Center.
Head of the Poetry and Literature Center, Rob Casper, asked his interns to write a blog post about their experience so far at the LOC. On my mother’s birthday, I chose to journey and find her book in the stacks of the LOC catalog. To read about my journey, visit piece “The Mission” in From the Catbird Seat blog.
